Celebrating the accomplishment !


    Lyons Skate Park is now officially complete through the second of three phases.  There are still at least two more pieces to be installed once the funds are raised.  Keep looking fore the fundraising to continue as we work to finish the current plan.  DPW reports the park has been respected more and has not been the maintenance chore it once was when the plans were first underway almost two years ago.  Many other improvements have taken place in Robinson Park as well.  If you haven't been there in a while, take the whole family and enjoy.  The Celebration Picnic on Saturday, May 1, 2010 was a great success.  More than 100 people enjoyed the fun, the beautiful weather, the cupcake eating contest and more.  State trooper Hetherington stayed an extra hour to finger print and I.D. more than 40 kids.   Thank you to all who made the cupcakes, helped with the set-up, the tear down, the booth sitting and to those who have supported the project at some point in some way.  Our youth have a safe and healthy place to play, laugh, grow and create their own hometown memories...
